Aloha! I’ve been on quite a long hiatus, because I’ve been spending all of my (limited) spare time wedding planning. I thought it fitting to jump back in with a wedding related post.
I spent a lot of time putting together a playlist to rock-out to while us girls got ready to go. I remember having Annette connect my phone to her Jambox; I remember telling it to play; I do not remember hearing anything beyond the first song, though I am certain the entire playlist played and we ran out of music. There is just so much happening in that last frenzy before you start “going to the chapel” or in my case, beach!
Here’s the list:
- Going to the Chapel by the Dixie Cups
- Wishing and Hoping (intro to My Best Friend’s Wedding)
- I Say a Little Prayer by Aretha Franklin
- Marry You by Bruno Mars
- Love & Marriage by Frank Sinatra
- Happy by Pharrell Williams
- I Gotta a Feeling by Black Eyed Peas
- Only Girl by Rhianna
- I Only Want to Be With You by Dusty Springfield
- Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
- I’m a Believer by Smash Mouth
- That Thing You Do by The Wonders
I think this was about 45 minutes of music, though I never confirmed. I had 45 minutes from when I returned from having my hair and make-up done to when I needed to be dressed and out the door. (Obviously, I was late. Have you met me and my sisters, we do not move quickly.)
